The Career fair SAMarbete offers a great opportunity for organisations and companies as well as social scientists at Lund University to meet and network; a meeting place for experience and knowledge. The purpose of SAMarbete is to inspire our students and help them get a better understanding of the knowledge and the skills they possess as social scientists, but also which competences are sought after on the labour market. SAMarbete gives students and organisations the opportunity to meet as potential future employers and potential future employees.
SAMarbete is arranged for around 6500 social science students at Lund university. The Career fair SAMarbete was arranged for the first time in 2014 and has grown larger every year since. The Career fair is made up of organisations who are interested in meeting and offering social science students part-time jobs, interships, thesis topics and maybe even future careers. SAMarbete gathers students with a wide selection of knowledge and skills, studying everything from political science and communication to human relations and social work.
The competence held by social scientists is broad and malleable, and is made up of knowledge that is necessary in all kinds of businesses and organisations. These competences include being problemsolving, communicative, cooperative, critical thinkers, able to adapt to new situations, and having the ability to see and understand different perspectives.
